Personal Broadcast Revolution

Soon you'll be able to access a fully-produced Podcast/audio blog here (click on the title for the first installment). This post is mainly to test whether I can get that feature up and running. But while I am experimenting, here are some great audio sties that you can visit for your own inspiration:

  • Transom a great website for new, independent public radio producers.

  • Christopher Lyndon's interviews (great material for your iPod)

  • iPodder, a great resource on Podcasting–including the iPodder download. Also includes a Podcast directory.

  • On The Media, home to my favorite podcast.

Also be sure to check out the "Vloggercon" website. I haven't had enough time yet to totally digest that website or to think about personal broadcasting more generally, but perhaps were on the cusp of another major development in blogging and citizen media. Then again, personal broadcasting takes up a lot more time and the end product is much less satisfactory. Perhaps, though, it can rope those in who don't see themselves as writers, while also helping to capture spectacular events like the tsunamis.
